The campus of Messiah Montessori School is located on seven acres. Currently our Pre-Primary, Primary, and Elementary classes are housed in one large building. There are plans to build a second building for middle grades and a third building for high school grades. An outdoor amphitheater is in the works as well as a small animal barn to house our mini farm. Return to Top
The school building was completed in July 2008. It is 11,250 square feet. The building consists of six large classrooms, a family room for plays, performances, parent education meetings, and other special occasions. It doubles as lunchroom for children midday. Rainy day physical education is held in the family room. On one end of the family room is a family lounge with a sofa, chairs, coffee table, fireplace, and lamps.

Our current building consists of six classrooms. Each classroom is 1,000 square feet. Each classroom has a child-sized bathroom, at least two sinks, and a drinking fountain. Authentic, beautiful wooden Montessori materials line hand-made shelves. Appropriately sized tables and chairs fill up the classrooms. Each classroom door has a window for easy parent viewing. The classrooms all have natural lighting through the many windows. Cubby spaces and coat hooks are available for every student.

The family lounge was designed with the comfort of family members in mind. Comfortable furniture is available for social interactions of family members and for family members wishing to read or work while waiting for their child. Wireless internet is available for families using the lounge. Return to Top
Each classroom has its own garden just outside their classroom door. Children are taught how to prepare the garden, plant seeds and bulbs, care for their garden, and how to harvest vegetables grown. Garden contents vary from classroom to classroom with such items as daffodils, lilies, butterfly bushes, pansies, carrots, radishes, cabbage, parsley, and tomatoes. Children use child-sized garden tools and watering cans to care for their gardens.

Messiah Montessori School has two fabulous playgrounds. One is just the right size for children just learning to climb, slide, and swing. Our grassy Pre-Primary playground has a bucket swing set, a slide, two climbers, steppers for balancing, and a hard surface area for trike riding. The playground is completely enclosed with a four foot fence.
Colored Hands During Grandparent's Day
Our Primary and Elementary playground is also fenced in with a very large climbing apparatus with five slides and a swing set. Six plus inches of mulch covers the ground for cushioning of falls. The playground also contains a large, open, grassy area for running and games as well as a concrete basketball court with an adjustable goal. Return to Top
