Our Story

Messiah Montessori School was founded in 2005 by Andi Hardy Jory, M.Ed. and a small group of parents who wanted to establish a school where the intellectual, physical, psychological, and spiritual gifts of every child would be respected and developed. After months of planning, the school opened in August 2005 with eight students, one teacher and one assistant. The challenges of the first year were met and by May 2006 school ended with 40 students, four teachers, and numerous assistants.

We began our second year having already outgrown the space allotted by the church where we began. In October 2006 we began planning a new campus. With the help of a few devoted individuals, property was purchased in December 2006 and an architect and engineer were hired. The result is our new campus located on Hickory Flat Highway (GA 140), three miles south of Hickory Flat.

So much of our history has yet to be written, but we are sure it will involve dedicated parents, educators, and others who care about quality education for our children. In 2007, we opened a lower elementary for children up to age nine and in 2008, an upper elementary for children up to age 12. We have a vision for Messiah Middle and Messiah High School, and we constantly seek God's guidance in this endeavor.
